about

Pablo Lavoe’s debut album, Brother Husbands, was layered into form from the dark spaces of Texas, mixing conversations beyond tones, pressing moods meant to distort a raw sweep, blowing up into a surreal air. These moves toward metal are deliberate, a motivation for survival cut clean by a saturation of vulnerability and elevated landscapes. -F.G.
